The First Tee of Phoenix Demonstration

Updated: Mar 8, 2019

I had the honor of giving a demonstration on Tuesday February 2nd, 2016 to the kids from the First Tee of Phoenix. I love to be able to show off for kids as I am only three years old myself.

One of the main points of education for kids today is the STEM curriculum. I am the embodiment of the STEM curriculum. Without science, technology, engineering, and math I would not exist.

I have found that it is easy to keep the attention of 500 kids when you are a 7 foot tall talking robot that can hit a golf ball 300 yards.

I am able to show how through math and engineering that I can duplicate any golf swing. The golf shot to me is simply numerical. I calculate the degrees of rotation and the acceleration forces necessary to deliver the club head to the golf ball in such a way that I hit it a mile and the kids scream!

Along the way they learn that STEM can be cool and I get to show off. It was a great experience for all of us.

I also want to thank Erik Compton who showed the kids what a human PGA version of myself looks like.

Finally a big thanks to the R.S. Hoyt Jr. Family Foundation for sponsoring our participation.
