Player testing is a critical component in the development of golf equipment. Golf Laboratories brings the same quantifiable approach to player testing as it does with robotic testing. There are two essential elements of player testing; quantifiable results and the golfers impressions of the product.
Quantifiable Results
For the first element Golf Laboratories uses the Swing Dynamics launch monitor system to record the players launch conditions. This system gives the client feedback on the launch angle, ball speed, and spin rate of each golf ball hit. The data is then averaged over all of the golfers to determine differences between products.
Golfers Impressions
For the golfers impressions, Golf Laboratories uses a detailed questionnaire to get feedback from the golfer on subjects including overall performance, feel, perceptions of distance and accuracy, and the playability of the product.
Test Report
Each player test combines these two elements to create a report on the product that can be used for research and development, sales, and marketing. The report gives an overview of the testing, along with graphics for the categories listed above, and the detailed reports for each golfer.
Custom Programs
Golf Laboratories has established testing methods for all golf equipment. Custom programs can also be created. With access to a variety of golfers, a program can be created to fit the needs of the client. For more information please call or email.
